Witchwood A material often used by the Sithi for weapons. A material somehow connected to the Dreaming sea.

In the Garden[]

In the Garden, in the valley beside the Dreaming Sea Witchwood grew wild. The Keida'ya (witchwood children) learned to harvest their seeds and grow the Witchwood themselves. They began to create groves of the stuff, tending it and using its wood, bark, fruit and leaves. The material was so important that the major settlements and then the great city Tzo was built around a Witchwood Orchard.

The fruit of the Witchwood was used to extend the Keida'ya's lifespans, and the leaves and flowers were used for dreaming (possibly divining).

In Osten Ard[]

The Keida'ya brought Witchwood trees and seeds with them from The Garden when they fled, planting orchards within the protection of all of their Nine cities.

Throughout time, some were lost to humans in wars, others were lost to calamity. Ineluki purposely poisoned the Witchwood grove of Asu'a in his quest to combine the strength and near-magical properties of the wood with black iron.
